Brent S. Bohanan: Habitat for Humanity Gwinnett

Brent became the Youth Director at the First United Methodist Church of Lawrenceville in 1994. He spent 8 years building a program that grew to over 100 youth participants each week. Brent then took on the position of Program Director where he was responsible for many programs throughout the church, including missions where he served low
income families with home repairs through the Lawrenceville Assistance Project. He then served for 8 years as the first Executive Director of Family Promise of Gwinnett County, Inc. where the organization grew to 5 programs, 11 staff members and opened the first emergency shelter in Gwinnett County to serve single women and women with children. He became the new Executive Director at Gwinnett County Habitat for Humanity in June, 2013.
Brent is a native Georgian and a product of the Newton County School System. He graduated from the University of Georgia in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication. He continued his education at Erskine Theological Seminary and graduated in 2005 with a Master of Divinity degree. He is an ordained deacon in the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church. Brent has been married to his wife Jennifer for 25 years and has two sons, Jacob (18) and Joseph (14).
