🥾 Boots on the Ground – Disaster Relief Service Project

June 4 - June 6

We’re excited to share an update to our upcoming service project at Girl Scout Camp Tanglewood near Augusta.

The project has been rescheduled and will now take place on June 4–6, 2026.

Rotary volunteers from across Georgia will come together for a hands-on effort to support hurricane recovery and help prepare the camp to welcome girls back this summer.

We will kick off on the morning of Thursday, June 4, with a $50,000 check presentation, joined by Girl Scout leadership and our District Governor’s team, followed by a facilities tour of the new cabins that were destroyed by Hurricane Helene. After the presentation, volunteers will then begin work across the site.

There is a role for everyone, including carpentry, planting, debris removal, and preparing cabins. You can join for one day or all three.

Housing is available for Rotarians who would like to be matched with a host family in the Augusta area.

You can sign up now using the link below: https://www.cognitoforms.com/RotaryDistrict6910/DisasterReliefGirlScoutCampSignUpJune2026

Please update your calendar and plan to join us.  Volunteers who sign up will receive more information in the coming weeks.
