Jack L’Amoreaux: Ceramic Engineering

Jack L’Amoreaux is Vice President responsible for Product and Process Development, Technical Sales Support, Furnace Construction and Operation, Technology Development, Patent Prosecution and Management for Applied Ceramics, Inc.,  Metro  Atlanta.

Jack is a holder of several US Patents for Activated Carbon Honeycomb Manufacture and Application, with additional others applied for.

Jack is also former President of Pennsylvania Ceramics Association and holds a BS in Ceramic Engineering from Alfred University/State University of New York.

Jack is a member of Smoke Rise Baptist Church and is active in church missions and has served several years on Board of Directors of Centro Shalom Children’s Mission in Tijuana, Mexico.

Jack’s presentation will have concentration on Ceramic Engineering as a profession and business, with commentary on related institutions of higher education, ceramic processing and products, and major US ceramic manufacturers, followed by remarks on ceramic raw materials and products being produced in Georgia.  There will be focus on Applied Ceramics, Inc. (ACI) of Doraville, Ga., a local manufacturer of high technology ceramic products for industrial applications.   A hands-on display of raw materials and ACI products is planned.
