A little about the author, Carole Townsend

Carole has been a newspaper reporter for more than 15 years in Gwinnett County, writing for the Gwinnett Daily Post for 12 years before moving to the Gwinnett Citizen newspaper. She has written an opinion column since 2008, which covers most any topic imaginable, all flavored with a bit of humor.

She is also a published author, with her fourth book a true crime novel written about a fascinating incident that took place in a small town in Georgia. Carole is currently doing research for her fifth book and in October 2016 will publish the first of a series of historical fiction/mystery short stories. She has had several articles published in national magazines over the years. She has been a guest on CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX television news and talk programs, and has been an invited guest in more than 180 radio interviews over the past 5 years.

She is often invited to speak, in Georgia and surrounding states, to civic groups and at events promoting the health and well being of women and the family, and about writing. She participates (quarterly, on average) in author panels at book festivals and other events.

Carole is a member of the Gwinnett Medical Center Women’s Advisory Council.
