David Horton was born and raised in North Carolina and entered his family business, the US Army, after high school. He became an Army Combat Medic and served four years at Fort Stewart in Hinesville, GA. After his service he moved to Gwinnett in 1998. He went to work for Eastside Medical Center as a nursing assistant in 1999, where he has worked full time since. He attended Georgia Perimeter College and obtained his Associates in Nursing in 2002. David work 9 years as an ICU nurse, 1 year as post op orthopedic nurse, and 2 years as Administrative Supervisor. In 2006, David decided to return to school. He was a charter student at Georgia Gwinnett College and graduated with a BBA in Marketing and a 4.0. After graduation David was asked to help start and market a new hospital occupational health program at Eastside.

David is a Gwinnett resident, proud Rotarian (Gwinnett Mosaic), husband to wife Courtney for 15 years, father to 2 daughters (Mary Elizabeth, 9 and Sara, 4).

In his little free time David is an avid motorcyclist and assistant coach to daughter Mary Elizabeth’s Grayson girls Lacrosse team.
