Dr. Budrtye will discuss the current situation in Ukraine and the impact of this war on other European nations—especially Lithuania.

Born and raised in Vilnius, Dr. Dovile Budryte currently lives in Atlanta. She is a professor of political science at Georgia Gwinnett College and works on the EUROPAST project at the Institute of International Relations and Political Science, Vilnius University. Dr. Budryte’s research interests include memory politics, trauma, nationalism, and gender studies. Her publications include articles on various topics related to minority rights and memory politics, one single-authored and four co-edited books, including Memory and Trauma in International Relations: Theories, Cases and Debates (co-editor with Erica Resende), and Engaging Difference: Teaching Humanities and Social Sciences in Multicultural Environments (co-edited with Scott Boykin). In 2015, she was the recipient of the University System of Georgia Excellence in Teaching Award.  She now serves as the President of AABS (Association for the Advancement of Baltic Studies).
