Stephanie Sokenis: Gwinnett Chamber – Small Business Development

Stephanie Sokenis is the Director of Small Business Development for the Gwinnett Chamber, with a focus on providing educational resources and programming to assist our small businesses with starting, sustaining and succeeding in Gwinnett. Prior to her current role, Stephanie began with the Chamber as the Executive Director of ‘Buy In Gwinnett’, a regional Shop Local program, conceived and built within the Chamber, as a one-program, unified community solution to help drive exposure for Gwinnett commerce, facilitate the fundraising efforts of our Gwinnett charities, and provide incentives to Gwinnett consumers to choose local for their buying needs by way of discounts and promotions
Stephanie joined the Gwinnett Chamber in 2011 with both chamber and business experience, including serving as the Executive Director of a Long Island, NY Chamber as well as operating her own small business in the marketing and direct mail industries. Her work through various positions held in both for profit, and not for profit organizations, has allowed her the honor of numerous recognitions on the state, county and local levels, including the Paul Harris recognition from Rotary, being named a ‘Woman of Distinction’ by the NY Senate, NY State Assembly and Town of Oyster Bay. Stephanie holds a degree in Business Communications and lives in Buford with her husband of 19 years, and 15 year old son, Michael, a freshman at Mill Creek High School.
