Kathy Fincher: “The Dream Keepers”

Following the events of 9/11, children’s painter and illustrator, Kathy Fincher, felt a responsibility to offer a message of hope to American families. She was concerned the heart of our Constitutional principles of “Faith and Freedom” were under attack.

Kathy created a painting, named it “The Dream Keepers”, and it became part of President George W. Bush’s private collection. Lithographs were sold all over the world and the story continues to be shared today. What better place to bring “The Dream Keepers” as a life-sized bronze, than Duluth, one of the most patriotic cities in America and the hometown of the artist?

Kathy Fincher is delighted to team with renowned sculptor, Martin Dawe, (CherryLions Studio in Atlanta Georgia) for they are both classically trained. The quality of the design and sculpting will reflect more than 65 years of combined experience.

As one of the largest figurative public works of children in the country, the artist believes this will become a destination public art piece.
