Today’s speaker is a veteran of Georgia newspapers at the weekly (12 years in Jesup), and since 1974, in Gwinnett (suburban 13 years) and metro (13 years) level. Fourteen years ago he retired as Gwinnett associate publisher of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

In retirement, he publishes a venture on the Internet, GeorgiaClips, a news digest coming out every business day about Georgia. He also publishes GwinnettForum.com, a public commentary site about Gwinnett County.

His education was at Mercer University (A.B.) and the University of Iowa (M.A.)

He has published a history book on Gwinnett history, entitled: Gwinnett, A Little Above Atlanta. That first edition was soon out of print and the book is about sold out its second printing.

He has been a Rotarian since 1963, and now counts 52 years of perfect attendance.

He and his wife, Barbara, live in the City of Norcross. They are members of Christ Episcopal Church and have three adult children and two granddaughters. Among his hobbies: are enjoying the North Georgia mountains.
